costa rica & mexico

My new passport pages were burning a hole in my pocket, so I decided to head to Costa Rica and Mexico City for a few weeks. First stop: Tijuana International Airport. A little scary, but flights were significantly cheaper. I hopped a trolley to the boarder, walked across, caught a cab, and prayed not to get in the cross fire of the drug wars. My flight left at 1am and the adventure started from there.

Second stop: Costa Rica. I met up with my brother and his friends for their spring break. Costa Rica was a little touristy; everyone spoke English, most places took dollars, and it was teeming with Americans, but the trip was fun none the less. The first half of the week was spent exploring the wilderness and the second half was spent relaxing on the beach.

Third stop: Mexico City. After my brother left to go back to school, I headed to Mexico City to meet up with a few engineering buddies. Mexico City was incredible , the food was amazing, the transportation a little dicey, but fun times were had.

The Teotihuacan Pyramid rest outside of Mexico City. I couldn't believe that people had built these thousands of years ago, it was truly awesome.
