In November and December 2008 I had the opportunity to travel across Eastern Asia with my brother. Our trip took us from Tokyo to Kyoto to Shanghai to Bejing to Bangkok to Phuket. The differences between the three countries were incredible. Our only mis-haps were the Thailand riots shutting down the Bangkok international airport, causing the cancellation of our flight unbeknownst to us (fortunately we got another), occasionally being swindled, once robbed, but always a good time.
